Visit to Baylham Church

There was plenty to learn at Baylham, where church members had displayed their researches of the Acton family and we were able to peer down into the crypt which was made for Nathaniel Acton and his family, we also remembered that one John Acton had bequeathed money for the poor of Bramford which was used to purchase a farm in Mill Steeet Sowupland. Jenny, the vicar, gave us a talk in the churchyard about the history of graves and – as a bonus – proved to be an expert in Anglo Saxon history.
